Thanks, Jim! Excellent article as always. I'm especially thrilled about Riley's effectiveness and throwing to Jordan. Both these guys need to be on the field. And the sure, swarming tackles, a wonder to behold. And the blocking. A new Duke team.
Not sure where to ask this: I subscribed, but it seems free. I would be delighted to pay a subscription fee to help support your great work.
It was great to see players swarming to the ball on defense. No missed tackles, well not many. That's a great change. Our QB looked cool under pressure and our receivers made some good plays. Now let's be Northwestern on the road.
After the past 3-4 seasons, it's eye-opening just to see what a well-coached Duke team looks like on the field.
It's a huge credit to the character of these players that they didn't give up on each other or stop working despite Duke's failure to match their commitment.
It took some luck for Duke admin to land coach Elko, and I'm excited to see this coaching staff build on a near-perfect week one.
Great article, Jim. I look forward to lots of positive reports like these this year! I’m really happy for the kids and that they got to see their hard work pay off. It can only lead to an even harder effort to make themselves better.
Friday night’s performance was awesome. The next step is to be consistent. I’m confident Duke will bring it next Saturday in Evanston. NU will be a test.
