Like many, I thought last year's Duke ACC Championship team was a better squad than this season's model.
But it sure will be nice to watch this Duke squad play the second weekend of the Tournament.
Playing Houston in Dallas will be a chore, but after months of frustration I believe the proverbial light bulb has gone on for the team and the last Game on Good Friday Evening could be very special.
Great win. Next play. Be confident but don't get cocky. It will take another great effort to beat Houston in what will probably be a home game for them. I hope we don't see an officiated "let them play" game. Our guards can play with the best of them if they are not bullied.
A lot of folks on DBR complain about OADs. I’ll take a Jared McCain who blows up his freshman year and becomes a OAD over a portal player any day. Yes lately too many freshman at Duke have left when they should have stuck around for their own good. Whatever McCain does is just fine. He is one of those OADs that I will long remember, great stroke, beautiful smile, and good teammate. Hopefully Duke has awakened and has four more great games.
