Scheyer didn’t buy any of these narratives.
“I’ve had a really deep belief since I got this job that we were going to get there. I truly knew it wasn’t going to be smooth sailing. I knew that. Do you go into a game anticipating to lose? Of course not. But my belief hasn’t wavered. I hope this never changes for me but I always analyze decisions that I can make, strategies that we can do better. But it’s not doubt. I’ve always felt like my team was going to win.”
